Empowering Experienced Professionals for Successful Career Transitions

Leveraging Mobile Computing for your Job Search with THOMAS PETRY

  • Mon, May 09, 2016
  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 40Plus Conference Room***(Doors open at 9:30 for networking and the program starts promptly at 10:00.)

Your phone is a useful tool for job searching, and almost every job seeker is using a mobile device in some way for job hunting. Snagajob saw its users increase their mobile job searching by 95% over the past year. CareerBuilder reports that almost one-third of site traffic each month now comes from mobile devices.

However, that doesn't translate into job applications. Snagajob reports that the number of job seekers applying for jobs via a mobile device dropped by about 4% over the last year. CareerBuilder reports that when a mobile candidate is notified that they are about to encounter a non-mobile friendly apply process, 40% end the application process.

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION

Today's talk is to discuss how to choose which device or smartphone is best for you and, when it comes to productivity and performance, which apps and tools can you use to make your job search that much more successful.
