Susan, a Milwaukee native, is a speaker, writer, and medical professional passionate about giving voice to other people’s voices. She focuses on helping men and women become stronger speakers and better communicators.
She has over 30 years experience in the communication field, first as an interpreter and translator and then clinically, helping stroke and TBI patients learn to speak again and those with dementia how to structure and retain their thoughts so they, too, can regain their voices.
Susan earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Italian and Linguistics at Georgetown University, and a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology at The George Washington University. She has done independent post-graduate work at The Middle East Institute, Harvard University, The Johns Hopkins University, and in Europe.
She has written numerous articles on communication, is a frequent guest on radio and television, and is now poised to launch LITTLE ORANGE BOOK self-help series.
